Casestream Combines Federal, Civil & Criminal Court Records

CourtLink/JusticeLink, an online platform for accessing court record information and filing legal documents, has integrated Pennsylvania-based MarketSpan, Inc. into the company's online suite of Internet-based services. MarketSpan is the developer of CaseStream, an online service providing access to federal court records. The move follows the recent completion of the merger of CourtLink and JusticeLink. The combined company is the first to provide an online information and transaction platform for connecting to and from the nation's courts.
MarketSpan's CaseStream combines the most complete database of Federal civil and criminal court records with Web-based search functionality, giving legal professionals, investors, the media and other business users access to previously inaccessible information. CaseStream provides full-text search capabilities on docket information from U.S. District courts.
The blending of MarketSpan's CaseStream and CourtLink/JusticeLink's court access services clearly creates the most comprehensive collection of electronic court records available today, said Matthew J. CourtLink/JusticeLink provides the ability to electronically access, exchange and process court records and documents, helping to reduce costs and improve productivity, speed and overall effectiveness of legal communications and transactions for courts, law firms, banks, insurance companies, corporations, government agencies and other users. The acquisition will provide MarketSpan customers with access to the most complete source of state court records available online. In addition, MarketSpan customers will have the ability to electronically file in courts using CourtLink/JusticeLink's e-file services. CourtLink/JusticeLink customers will gain access to the advanced capabilities of CaseStream, including full-text searches of the entire CaseStream database.
